12 Days Classic Tanzania Safaris Excursion.

Day 1: Arrival!

You will be met at the airport upon your arrival by one our Zazu Tanzania Safaris staff and transferred to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Today is the beginning of your Tanzania Safaris excursion. Early in the morning after breakfast, depart to Tarangire National park with packed lunch. The drive time from the hotel to Tarangire is about 2 hours, upon arrival check in at the gate and start the game drive.

It’s possible to start spotting animals right away upon entry to the park gate. The lunch box will be served at the picnic site inside the park where you will enjoy your lunch box while viewing the wildlife around the picnic site (possibly elephants, antelopes, and monkeys). After lunch, continue with the game viewing for the rest of the afternoon.

Later in the evening, head to the lodge for dinner and overnight. During dinner hours you will discuss with driver guides the key interests of your first Tanzania safaris excursion.

Day 3-4: Tarangire – Serengeti (Central Part)

Today your Tanzania safaris excursion takes you to the next level of wildlife experience. After breakfast drive from Tarangire to Serengeti via Ngorongoro conservation area with your packed lunch, stop at the crater rim for the crater view. Upon arrival to the Serengeti continue with game drive until late in the evening, after head to the lodge for dinner & overnight.

DAY 5-7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (Northern Park)

The next three days will be the highlight of your private guided Tanzania safaris excursions. The 15,000 square kilometer (5,791 square miles) Serengeti is arguably the most well-known safari hotpot worldwide.

Think vast horizons dotted with acacia trees and an immense variety of wildlife. We’ve included a game drive and depending on the season of your visit, you can anticipate the thundering hooves of the wildebeest migration – a majestic sight that leaves one breathless and thrilled.

Your days in the Serengeti are yours to spend as you please and your private guide will happily show you around. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the far-reaching Africa horizon.

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

After breakfast, enjoy the last-minute morning game viewing before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way to Ngorongoro you have a chance to stop at the Masai Boma (Masai traditional houses) to learn about their unique African culture. Later proceed to your lodge located at the Ngorongoro Crater rim.

Activities: Game en route to Ngorongoro.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater – Eileen’s Trees Inn

After breakfast, descend into the crater floor for a game viewing drive with picnic lunches in the Crater, this place will indeed gives you a different experience of your Tanzania safaris excursion.

This protected area is located in the Great Rift Valley and is also known as the eighth wonder of the world. Here you will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants, and the lake area where you may see flamingos. You will also visit the open savanna where the lions hunt.

The Ngorongoro Crater has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa; 30,000 animals make their home in this crater, making it an ideal place for sightings of the ‘Big Five’ – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard.

Our driver/guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with their skill at locating the hidden animals. After a great day of exploration in the crater, the driver will take you to your lodge which is located in Karatu Area (a small town between Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara National Park).

Day 10: Eileen’s Tree Inn – Lake Eyasi

Today you leave the Lodge in the morning and continues on to Lake Eyasi elongated Salt Lake in Mang’ola village. En route to the lake, you will visit the Hadzabe tribe known to be the last true nomads in Africa.

These good natures men and women are eager to show you how to hunt for daily substances and gather fruits in true hunter-gatherer fashion.

This is an authentic African experience to add up on your Tanzania safaris excursion.

After a day of cultural experiences and animal spotting, drive back to the lodge and get some well-deserved rest.

Day 11: Karatu – Arusha

After breakfast depart to Arusha and upon arrival in Arusha check in at Ilboru Safari Lodge – Arusha Hotel.

Day 12: Arusha –Kilimanjaro Airport

Departure day! You will be transferred back to the airport for your international flight or for any other further destination.
