Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Meals: Dinner
On arrival at the airport, you will be personally met and escorted by one of the Zazu Tanzania Safaris guides to your accommodation at the Lake Duluti Lodge. Your suite has been lavishly furnished and features a split level living area and a private deck with a fireplace. The chalets in this cozy and serene retreat are nestled amongst the lush forest grove to ensure privacy and solitude. The lodge is located beside Lake Duluti which is the only lake in Arusha.
Day 2 & 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After enjoying an early breakfast at your hotel, you will be greeted by a Zazu Tanzania Safaris guide who will brief you on the activities of the day before heading off on the first day of your safari. You will enjoy a scenic morning drive to the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route we will stop at Mto wa Mbu village. The community is considered a melting pot of various tribes from Tanzania. Try your skills at bartering with the locals to purchase local curios. We will then make our way to your accommodation at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, the only lodge located within Lake Manyara National Park. You will enjoy a hot lunch before enjoying a full afternoon of game driving. The park stretches along the base of the 600 meters high Rift Valley escarpment. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park. Incredibly, the other third of the park houses a variety of animals, which are supported by open savannah grassland with rocky outcrops, marshes, and acacia woodland. The park is famous for tree-climbing lions and a huge variety of birds including flamingo. Other animals found here are buffalo, zebra, hippo, leopard, elephant, and giraffe. Dinner and overnight stay at the Lake Manyara Tree Lodge.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will drive from Lake Manyara to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and your accommodation will be at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. We will then head for the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater is a global heritage site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. The 2,000ft high walls of the approximately 10-mile wide crater create a natural amphitheater for the densest populations of large animals anywhere in the world. It is a microcosm of the African safari experience and in one day it is possible to see a staggering array of wildlife including all the big carnivores. With abundant and easily accessible wildlife, the Ngorongoro Crater is truly awe-inspiring with a strikingly majestic and sublime landscape. You will return to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge perched on the edge of the crater for evening cocktails, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Today we depart for the world famous Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the panoramic views as we wind our way down through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which seamlessly melds into the great plains of the Serengeti. We will stop at a traditional Maasai Boma, where you will get to see the Maasai performing their traditional dances. You may even get a chance to join in! We will then proceed to the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is unequaled for its beauty and scientific value and has come to symbolize the classic African Safari. Enjoy a game drive en route to your luxury accommodation at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp, where you can enjoy the Serengeti from your deck with some game viewing as sunset approaches.
Day 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park

Your next 2 days will be spent exploring the Serengeti. You will rise early to enjoy early morning game drives. At sunrise you may encounter animals grazing in the beautiful light of morning and predators may still be busy hunting before retiring to rest for the day. Sunrise on the Serengeti is not to be missed and extraordinary photographic opportunities will abound at this magical time of day. You have the option to return to your accommodation for a hot lunch or to opt for a packed lunch which can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites found in the Serengeti. After lunch, you will continue on a game drive. Around the time of dusk be on the lookout for lion. Cheetah can also be spotted on the plains in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are not too high. They rely on daylight and speed to catch their prey. Hippo pods can be seen in the bigger pools and rivers while crocodiles can be seen sunning themselves on the riverbanks. Each night you will return to your accommodation at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp for a well-earned sundowner before being seated for your evening meal.
Days 8: Serengeti – Arusha by Chartered Flight
After breakfast enjoy your last minute game drive en route to the Seronera airstrip ready to catch your flight back to Arusha. Our drivers will transfer you to the airport for your next destination or flight back home.
