Safari itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival!
You will be met at the airport upon your arrival by one of our Zazu Safaris staff and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Today you will just relax at the hotel preparing for your safari the next day.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Today is the beginning of your Tanzania safari excursion. You will take off early in the morning after breakfast, depart to Tarangire National park with packed lunch. The drive time from the hotel to Tarangire is about 2 hours, upon arrival check in at the gate and start the game drive.
It’s possible to start spotting animals right away upon entry to the park gate, and this makes Tanzania safari excursion trip very unique. The lunch box will be served at the picnic site inside the park where you will enjoy your lunch box while viewing the wildlife around the picnic site (possibly elephants, antelopes, and monkeys). After lunch, continue with the game viewing for the rest of the afternoon. Later in the evening, head to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti
Early in the morning leave the hotel to Serengeti national park the famous endless plain this park is indeed a not to miss when planning for a Tanzania safari trip. Upon arrival to the Naabi gate, enjoy the game en route in the Serengeti and later retire at the Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Activities: Game en route in Tarangire, Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater
Day 4-5: Game Drive in Serengeti.
In the next full 2 days of your Tanzania safari excursion you will spend exploring the beautiful endless plains of the Serengeti. The 15,000 square kilometer (5,791 square miles) Serengeti is arguably the most well-known safari hotspot worldwide. Think vast horizons dotted with acacia trees and an immense variety of wildlife. Your days in the Serengeti are yours to spend as you please and your private guide will happily show you around. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the far-reaching Africa horizon.
About Serengeti
Endless Plains of Nature’s Wonders: The Serengeti National Park, covering 14763 square kilometers is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. One of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, the migration of thousands of wildebeest takes place here every year. The Serengeti, 320 kilometers from Arusha, was gazetted in 1951. It was accepted by the World Heritage Convention as a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve in 1981.

Day 6: Serengeti – Marera View Lodge
Enjoy your last day in Serengeti with a game en route out of the park and head back to the lodge in Karatu. You will stop at the Oldvai Gorge the archaeological site to learn about its history. Thereafter continue with game en route through the Ngorongoro conservation area to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Activities: Transfer from Serengeti, Olduvai Gorge
Day 7: Transfer to Arusha.
Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and thereafter head back to Arusha town.

Day 8: Arusha City Tour
Today you enjoy you day in Arusha exploring the city of Arusha; you visit the crafts market and central food mark. Thereafter you will go back to the hotel to have some free time in the hotel getting ready for Zanzibar.

Beach Holiday in Zanzibar Begins!
Day 9: Arusha – Zanzibar
Today you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel located in the heart of the historical Stone town. Today upon checking in your hotel you will do a tour around Stone Town before heading to Kendwa in the far north on west coast.
Zanzibar is also known as “The Spice Island,” Zanzibar is the ultimate Indian Ocean experience, with its fascinating historical Stone Town and magnificent beaches. You have 4 full days to enjoy this beautiful island paradise. Enjoy activities like snorkeling, visiting Stone Town including a famous Spice Tour, swimming with dolphins, a sunset cruise, diving or relaxing on the beach. Your Zanzibar extension can be as active or relaxing as you like.

Day 10-13: Stone Town – Kendwa (Far North)
Today after breakfast check out your luggage from Tembo House Hotel and head out for spice tour before heading up to Kendwa where you will spend 3 nights at Kendwa Rocks Beach Hotel.
While you are there enjoying relaxing on the beautiful beach, there will be other optional activities like snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, a sunset cruise, diving etc.

Day 14: Departing Zanzibar –
Today you will be transferred from the resort, back to Zanzibar airport in time for your flight to Dar es Salaam (Julius Nyerere Airport) or Kilimanjaro Airport for the connection of your international flight back home.
